Prayer

Alone or with others, with words or without

Prayer is the lifting up of the heart and mind to God. The important thing is to let God know what’s in our hearts. How do we know what that is? By looking inward. Spiritual direction and retreats help us to do that.

How do we express ourselves? Simply, humbly. We can also use prayers others have written, psalms, or songs, that speak to us. Further down on this page you will find a sort of “prayer wheel” with classic prayers that have stood the test of time.

You can pray alone, or together with others. When we meet for masses and church services we are pray together. Some like to meditate, praying without words.
